Pop-Art Self Portraits
The main skill I exploited on this project was using levels adjustments to create drastic contrasts in multiple variations of one image. I knew how to do this before this project, but I never really used that skill for any productive purpose. The design decisions included using alignment to arrange four square images into a larger square, using contrast to create four different representations, and basic repetition in using the same picture four times. The graphics combined to effectively create a series of variations that obviously followed the form of Warhol’s works. I liked this project; I chose a silly picture that one of my friends took of me sipping on some ginger soda (it’s funny because I’m ginger) so I got to have some fun with it. |
