Video Tribute
This project served mostly a chance to master the features of Premiere, but besides improving on preexisting skills, I don’t feel as if I learned very much from it. I did a very similar project in 7th grade tech ed (using an older version of the adobe creative suite) and even at that point four years ago could probably have created an equally effective video in Microsoft PowerPoint. I say that because I feel as if this project was in essence a slideshow, and slideshows are quite lame in comparison to the other feats of technology accomplished later on in this course. A lot of the design decisions I made involved choosing the best way to crop or tween a square image to fit a rectangular frame, and quite often the result was pixelation. I also combined music and fading text to create a suspenseful intro scene and used the pictures in the project to visually enhance the story I was telling.
